Sorry I have not posted in a long time. I have had a lot going on and I will write a post later on letting you know the updates going on with me soon but I am posting this blog that I have had written in my laptop for the time being.
So I never go sit on a guys lap if he has just walked in and has not seen a couple of girls stages. However, I was on second stage when this handsome guy walked in and sat right in front of my stage. He does not tip me but he doesn't stop looking at me etiher. So shortly after I cool down from dancing for four songs and get my top back on I saunter over to him and ask if he would like some company. He coyly says yes and since I know he is a little uncomfortable I don't sit on his lap but in the chair next to him. The man is medium height and weight, fairly good shape, dark brunette hair and a goatee. I ask him one of my favorite random questions; "Tell me a completely ramdom fact about yourself!"
"I'm a choir director," he replies.
"Really? Where do you do that?" I ask ( and I am thinking it may be for the GLBTQ choir lol) I was wrong...
"At a church..."
"What is a good little church-boy like you doing at a strip club?", I ask seductively.
"Same reasons as any guy." he responds
"I used to be a liittle good church girl myself, I was an acolyte when I was younger, and then I was sent to a Non-Demoninational Reform School in the Dominican Republic.", I explained.
"Wow, I just read a book about a school like that in the Dominican Republic..."
"Wait don't tell me, it was "Jesus Land" by Julia Scheeres? I asked, expecting the right answer. And oh, was I right.
I do not know who was more shocked, that he had met a girl from a book that he had read or that I had met someone that was not a really close friend of mine that I had made read the book or someone I had gone to that strange land with. Most of the people I know who have read that book are ones who were there with me as it came out in 2005 and I was not out til January 1, 2006. There is also a documentary trailer about New Horizons Youth Ministries, Jarabacoa, Dominican Rebublic called "Kidnapped for Christ" It was filmed the spring or summer right after I was released. My family released me to "The Program" (as we called it) as a minor and I was told I could not legally leave until I was of eighten years old and graduated from high school. So I graduated early, I finished school a week after I became of age. However the school was allowed at the time to keep students there until they were twenty-one years of age. I knew girls that had signed themselves in when I was fifteen; they thought the Dominican Republic branch of the program was a drug-rehab of somesort. They were wrong.
Another day I will have to tell you about how I was sent there and how "The Program" actually was but that is not for today. However, I thought that it was uncanny that I had a customer that was a good ol' Christian choir director and had read the book about my school. So I have a request of my readers; If you have read the book "Jesus Land" by Julia Scheeres or if you are one of the rare readers of mine that actually went to New Horions Youth Ministries I would like you to post a comment on my page about what you thought or how you took your experience at NHYM/Escuela Caribe. If you have not been there or read the book, then your homework is to read the book.
You can also see some random spoof videos my house "TKB" did in reform school as well. Just look on YouTube and look under "Anderson's Eleven" or "TKB Dreamin'." We did do a third movie but it was so controversial that it was banned from the school and the footage was ultimately lost. I can tell you that it was about a brain-washing device that was turning the school into an army of good little Christian soldiers. So you can see why the school frowned upon that idea. We were able to show it to the entire student body and all of the staff, but right after it was shown our Homelife Director reamed us all out (who in the movie was the villain making the army). I also was able to do a machete fight with my housefather that was in the first two movies.
