Reformed Stripper

Sorry I have not posted in a long time. I have had a lot going on and I will write a post later on letting you know the updates going on with me soon but I am posting this blog that I have had written in my laptop for the time being.

So I never go sit on a guys lap if he has just walked in and has not seen a couple of girls stages. However, I was on second stage when this handsome guy walked in and sat right in front of my stage. He does not tip me but he doesn't stop looking at me etiher. So shortly after I cool down from dancing for four songs and get my top back on I saunter over to him and ask if he would like some company. He coyly says yes and since I know he is a little uncomfortable I don't sit on his lap but in the chair next to him. The man is medium height and weight, fairly good shape, dark brunette hair and a goatee. I ask him one of my favorite random questions; "Tell me a completely ramdom fact about yourself!"
"I'm a choir director," he replies.
"Really? Where do you do that?" I ask ( and I am thinking it may be for the GLBTQ choir lol) I was wrong...
"At a church..."
"What is a good little church-boy like you doing at a strip club?", I ask seductively.
"Same reasons as any guy." he responds
"I used to be a liittle good church girl myself, I was an acolyte when I was younger, and then I was sent to a Non-Demoninational Reform School in the Dominican Republic.", I explained.
"Wow, I just read a book about a school like that in the Dominican Republic..."
"Wait don't tell me, it was "Jesus Land" by Julia Scheeres? I asked, expecting the right answer. And oh, was I right.
I do not know who was more shocked, that he had met a girl from a book that he had read or that I had met someone that was not a really close friend of mine that I had made read the book or someone I had gone to that strange land with. Most of the people I know who have read that book are ones who were there with me as it came out in 2005 and I was not out til January 1, 2006. There is also a documentary trailer about New Horizons Youth Ministries, Jarabacoa, Dominican Rebublic called "Kidnapped for Christ" It was filmed the spring or summer right after I was released. My family released me to "The Program" (as we called it) as a minor and I was told I could not legally leave until I was of eighten years old and graduated from high school. So I graduated early, I finished school a week after I became of age. However the school was allowed at the time to keep students there until they were twenty-one years of age. I knew girls that had signed themselves in when I was fifteen; they thought the Dominican Republic branch of the program was a drug-rehab of somesort. They were wrong.
Another day I will have to tell you about how I was sent there and how "The Program" actually was but that is not for today. However, I thought that it was uncanny that I had a customer that was a good ol' Christian choir director and had read the book about my school. So I have a request of my readers; If you have read the book "Jesus Land" by Julia Scheeres or if you are one of the rare readers of mine that actually went to New Horions Youth Ministries I would like you to post a comment on my page about what you thought or how you took your experience at NHYM/Escuela Caribe. If you have not been there or read the book, then your homework is to read the book.
You can also see some random spoof videos my house "TKB" did in reform school as well. Just look on YouTube and look under "Anderson's Eleven" or "TKB Dreamin'." We did do a third movie but it was so controversial that it was banned from the school and the footage was ultimately lost. I can tell you that it was about a brain-washing device that was turning the school into an army of good little Christian soldiers. So you can see why the school frowned upon that idea. We were able to show it to the entire student body and all of the staff, but right after it was shown our Homelife Director reamed us all out (who in the movie was the villain making the army). I also was able to do a machete fight with my housefather that was in the first two movies.
I will post both of those videos as soon as I can figure out how :)
Till later readers! Thank you fans so much for your support and positive comments on my page.

"The Millenium Generation and the high-potential underachievers that we are..."

Maybe I should have told you guys before if you have not figured it out already that I am an extremely blunt person. Thankfully, I have a predominately female demographic that reads this blog so the women would be more likely to understand where I am coming from. So here is the question I have for you women out there. (and men if you have some insight)

My question is this, why does it seem like there is such an influx of young women of the "Millenium Generation" that jump into the adult entertainment industry (the "Industry" from here on out) right after they become age-appropriate for the job? And to add to that question, why is this form of employment becoming such an easily concievable choice for a first job? Can they even hack it?

***I do not know if "Millenium Generation is a real coined term or not, if not it is now. My loose definition of the "Millenium Generation" is simply this:people that were born roughly in the early 1980's up until around the mid 1990's.***

I ask this because I do fall in this category and I had different aspirations rather than becoming a stripper. I became a dancer because of a few reasons. One of the main ones (I'm not going to lie) was because the hot pole goddess Daisy mesmerized and recruited me, and the second, but very important reason was because I had gotten fired from QuikMart and had car payments to make. I was living out of my van at the time so I had to find a job fast.
I cannot give estimates or percentages but the vast majority of my female friends that are not yet 19 aspire to being in the adult entertainment industry in some way or another. Alot of my friends that are of age to dance are in the industry. More and more girls everyday are going to the club to try out even the day after they are old enough for the job, and in some places before they are old enough. I do not approve of girls becoming strippers for their first job.  Of course I have no problem seeing women become more confident in their bodies and strength as women but I do think that it is unfortunate that many of our highly intelligent girls and women end up in a employment position they are 100 times better than.
I started my work career at 18 like most people after high school. My mother made me get a job before I was reacclimated to living in the United States. (I was sent to a Christian Reform school in the Dominican Republic for 2 1/2 years...another day). I was working a month after I moved here at the call center my mother ran. I worked there for over a year and we were all laid off. I kept to the call center thing for awhile til I got fired from TeleTech and went into food service. I went through about 10 jobs and a few homeless stints selling weed before I became a stripper. Like I said in "My Stripping Origins" post I never thought that I had the mentality to be a hustling stripper. When I was homeless I would get mistaken for a little boy alot. (I was sporting a mohawk though) so I was also not too keen on looking girly. It was not until 2 years ago when I met one of the loves of my life Alexa that I became girly again. This was the first time a girl played "my-size barbie" with me. So I decided to dress more like a girl but still having my little boy days when I feel like it, and you know what I still do when I am lazy. Anyway, I always loved strippers just never thought I could be one. I had guys that were best friends but I did not know if I could convincingly lead a guy on to buy an ass-load of dances from me when I am really gay and a REALLY bad liar. In fact, a couple of customers have called me out on being more gay than straight. And as much as guys fantasize about lesbians they want someone dancing on them only if they can imagine that girl wanting to fuck him. So sometimes I was screwed. But having a topless Daisy to look at all night was helpful in getting me to work everyday.
I have to say I do not think that this is a good first job. The girls that have been dancing for 6, 7, 10 years, this is usually their first job and they end up stuck with it. Some of these tenured girls are smart and go to school for a career and pay for it by stripping. POWER TO YOU GIRLS! This is not a career you can do forever unfortunately. No one wants to buy a dance off of a 50 year-old, post-menopausal saggy-boobed, mid-life crisis. If a girl can to stick to this job,it is for about 10 years. So if you start at 19-years-old, like the age in the state of Arizona, you are probably going to be retired by 30. Exotic dancing does not teach you good cooperation skills with your co-workers, in fact it may be detrimental to some types of employment that rely on teamwork, instead of being individually competitive. Also, it is very hard to get a job after being a stripper in some cases. Some employers want to know what you were doing as an "Independant contractor".
Unfortunately the youth at my reform school, including me were labeled as is "high-potential, underachievers". This means that we are the generation that was promised greatness, however we easily realized that we are ultimately powerless and our forefathers really had high expectations of us, it became difficult for people in my generation to genuinely succeed. We were offerred everything, modern medicine, technology, the works, and unfortunately the mistakes of the older generations. It also means that even though this catergory of young adults are very intelligent and have the means to do great things in this world, maybe we were stunted in our adult growth to keep us from achieving our highest potential, may that be the economy, our parents and uprbringing or our own personal insecurities. They told us we were the future, the innovators, and all that other bullshit they fed us in elementary school, one day thinking we would be able to fix all the problems they made while we were children. I was in 8th grade when 9/11 happened so the war started soon after. Slowly during this war our economy started to fail. "THANKS BUSH!" This led to our recession that we are neck-deep in now. Now in Arizona we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. We have one of the largest populations under the poverty line in Tucson and the housing is horrible right now too. So what is a girl to do in this hard recession....get good money taking my clothes off that's what.
Also, the pop-culture influence since our generation started watching television and listening to the radio has shaped men and women alike but has definately affected women in what is attractive or not. Diets, plastic surgery, the types of men they should be attracted to, these are all some kind of general consenus on the female mentality. Alot of girls become dancers because they have dressed like hookers since they were 13 and they are used to this kind of attention from men. Maybe that is because they are exposed to it due to television and the net. Maybe they were abused. Who knows? But at this time, I do believe that there are a few core issues influencing girls today. The girls that are used to the attention; they use that ability to attract men at the club. I think this is awesome as long as you do it because you are confident in yourself as a woman, not because you crave the negative attention.
An unfortunate reason younger girls end up as strippers and other parts of the industry is they are pretty much being pimped out by their significant others. I had a friend whose boyfriend would beat her and take all of her money. If she did not make enough money for his liking that day he would reprimand her and beat her. So an unfortunate truth but girls are also forced into this line of work. This is one of the only jobs where you can be your own boss! It's one of the perks of the job, yet even this is being taken away from women and they are thrust into the lifestyle until they can find a way to leave the abusive boyfriend/girlfriend.
Lastly, the strip club is not nearly as taboo as it used to be. Parents go with their kids when they become of age, younger people are going and so inevitably younger people will be working. Sexuality in general is becoming less taboo. My view may be a little skewed since my view on sexuality became less taboo itself when I moved out of the Bible Belt. But more and more people, especially females are becoming more comfortable with sexuality, bi-sexuality to be more specific. But, on a Friday late night at Ten's I would be lucky to go onstage 3 times between 9pm and 2am. The numbers and the demographic are definately expanding. There are about 50 girls working at the same time! And now the strip clubs are definately feeling the recession because more girls are working so there is less money to go around. Less guys are tipping when they can have a pitcher and look at titties on the stage that they don't necessarly have to pay to see.
            So  Bad economy=more girls stripping
                  Bad economy=men spending less
More girls stripping=less money to go around
So we have guys spending too little of money to go around to the girls.
It is not fair but thanks to the economy there are going to be plenty of girls working because they cannot get hired anywhere else. I think the economy is the biggest reason why younger women are getting into the industry but my other points show that there are multiple factors for young women, including me.

Panty snatchers, peeping Toms, and the Dick in VIP

So it has been a minute since I have put up a real post and now that I am fully healed you will have some new stories hopefully next week, since I will be starting again this Friday. But for now you will have some funny stories from the past to laugh about. And I apologize in advance, I'm writing this on the fly.
So there are some of these guys in strip clubs that come there and get hammered and I mean hammered! I came down from getting ready in the dressing room and saw Daisy sitting with this guy so I came over to say hello to her and check in with the DJ. Daisy had do go up on stage so she asked me to keep her customer company (and hopefully get a few dances of this guy). I talk with him a little bit, he oders me a drink and pretty much the entire time he is talking about his horrible relationship with his wife, and she calls him while I am sitting on his lap. (giggle giggle) This guy is already slurring his words he is so drunk. He seemed like a nice enough guy just drowning his sorrow in liquor and topless girls. So he buys one dance off of me and then I have to go up on stage. I do my set on main stage and go over to the second stage and by second stage I am usually too lazy to put my top back on for that set and just do the entire thing topless. (and the fact that I am usually very sweaty after my first stage) The only thing I am wearing is a red g-string. Well drunk guy comes up to me dollar eagerly in hand about to put it in my g-string when he pulls down the front of my g-string almost completely taking off my g to tip me. I stand up and cuss the guy out saying "You can't do that motherfucker!" or something along those lines. Luckily the security at Ten's is very good and not 3 seconds later one of the bouncers had him by the arm and said to him "You cannot disprespect our dancers like that!" Dude I hope not he got a nice full view of my snatch! I know its a nice snatch but its kinda taken....Needless to say he was kicked out of the club.
So the next instance that sticks out in my mind of funny things happening at the club is the time I actually had a peeping tom. I had to pee so I scampered into the bathroom and I sitting there...by myself and I hear the door open and I look under and see these red basketball shorts and shoes run into the stall next to me. Now I know that this is not a chick, not even a butch lesbian. My radar would have gone off. So I look under the stall to see shoes...nope no shoes. So then I look up and I see a mans face looking down on me. Stupid little pee fetish boy.  So after I cuss him out he runs out of the bathroom into the guys bathroom and I walk out and find a bouncer and describe the guy and tell him where he went and I standing there laughing my ass off. The manager just looks at me and says "Well I'm glad that you are taking this ok." I told him I thought it was one of the funniest things ever.
So this one is not as funny but it is something you should watch out for. The DICK in the VIP. So this guy had paid the DJ money to request a certain song. I happened to be the one on stage for this song so the guy came up to me and tipped me 10 on stage so of course I go see him afterwards. He asks right away if I want to go to the VIP I say yes. I dance 5 songs for this guy but its strange because he really only wants me to do the "hummer" on him. In the middle of the 5th song he whips his dick out of his pants and asks me to "suck on his head for a bit" I say "HELL NO!" Well I didn't say that I told him to put it away and that I would finish the song for him but I would go tell a bouncer if he did it again. I wanted my money and this is why you don't stack dances. I got my money though he was reluctant to finish the song but did.

So these are some of the guys you should look out for!

MY READERS ARE SO NICE TO ME!!

One of my friends from Ten's wrote this to me the other day and it made me feel so good about doing this blog. I hope she won't be mad I posted what she said but I am keeping her anonymous...unless she wants to out herself :-)

"I have to say I truly enjoy your blog. Its truthful and straight to the point. Not to mention your extremely honest about the business. You have been through so much turmoil and deep sorrow in your life and by publishing the hardships and mentioning the friendships offers so much honesty and support to young girls who are having the same stuggles as you. Offering your story as well as advice to the young sexually frustrated youth that may possibly turn to the adult industry. You offer perspective about the many issues that can partake in the sex industry. Stay honest and i support you if you need any pointers or help please let me know."

So thank you to all my readers. I know I have been a little slow about my posts but next week I will be working on one after I get done taking care of a couple of warrants I have....:-( not to worry I will be back soon. Maybe with some funny stories about how strippers behave in jail ;-)

Out in the desert with my gay brothers and sisters.

So, this blog is going to be a little different due to the trip I am currently on. I have been with this group called "Eon Youth Lounge" since I was 19 years old. They are a GLBTQ (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender and Queer) center for youth ages 13-23. I am one of the oldest students being 23. This is my last retreat. I went two years ago and we are at the same place as we were then. We drove out to Oracle and stayed at the C.O.D. Ranch. Eon has been there for me through thick and thin. They have been with me through my homelessness and my drug and alcohol abuse and really supported me in my decision to become a stripper. So I am here out in the middle of the desert sitting around a fire pit writing this blog after the first day of our Youth Leadership Retreat.

Day 1
It was a nice little over an hour drive out to the Ranch and we settled into our bunk cabins. They were not as nice as the cabins we had when I went before but this place is still nice. We have 5-6 staff with us and about 12-15 students. Since I am 23 the staff asked me to be a Leader (funny this is a leadership retreat) to the other students and just hold them accountable and lead through my good example....hehehe. Some of these kids are obnoxious but hey they are kids, and of course I am trying to not be sterotypical but gays can be twice as obnoxious. We did a game to learn everyones names, which sucks because I still do not know all these kids names. We also did an art project about mirrors, we took aluminum foil and made mirrors on poster board and images or words that describe how we percieve ourselves. Im sure that we will do more with these "mirrors". We then went to go get chow. And OH WAS THIS FOOD GOOD! The last time I came to the ranch the food was supurb and ended up going home with two gallons of gaspacho. (spelling?) We had fajitas, and they had tofu fajitas for the vegetarians in the group. After dinner we played volleyball with this deflated soccerball and I have to tell you watching a whole bunch of queens play volleyball is very very funny. I think the ball ended up in the scorpion infested bushes more than on the court! We then went back to doing workshops where we made our "coming out candles". We also did this the year I came before where we cut out things from magazines and paste them on the large candles you can buy in any Mexican food mart in Tucson. We then proceeded to tell 5 minute versions of our come out stories. Maybe another day I will post mine in full detail...a coming out story is really longer than 5 minutes. After which we did some light meditation and led me to free time in which I got to start this blog.
Especially at this retreat which I was glad to see in comparison to the other reatreat was the fact that we had transgender staff and students in our group this time. Transgender was a little new to me when I first started at Eon but now that I am more aware of them and know some of them personally, some for years now, I am able to relate alot to them as well. When I was a child and first came out to one of my best friends the only way I could equate me liking girls meant that I was supposed to be born a boy. I was always a tomboy and dressed and acted like one. But as I became older I embraced being an androgynous bi-sexual, then lesbian, and now a sometimes polyamorous lover depending on the girl and her man involved. My last meaningful relationship was a polyamorous one with Daisy and Ray, it was a sometimes tumultuous relationship but we are all still close though they are now states away.

Day 2
So when I thought that this was not going to be that interesting of a post was I wrong. So I had developed this sunburn blistered looking rash on my side and was going towards my back. I know sooo not sexy for a stripper to be saying all this but it is slightly strange. Right now I am sitting in the examination room for TMC Hospital. I was not able to sleep at all last night due to this extreme itching on my side and back and told a staff member and showed them this rash. One of our staff also happened to be really sick and was going home early so I caught a ride with her and her girlfriend. They drop me off at the hospital and I wait forever to get seen by triage and now everything seems to be going smoother. However when I was seeing a nurse in triage I asked her what she thought it may be because I was scared to death it was a staff infection. She informs me politely that she is not a doctor but it looks like shingles to her. "What the fuck is shingles?" She then tells me it is a dormant virus in your body  from having chicken pox. "So I have had this in my body since I was in first grade???" Yup, and just now the virus rears its ugly head. Well at least it is good to know that I am not contagious if it is shingles but I still have yet to see the doctor, I will let you know more in a few short minutes (for me anyway, you get to read this continuously)
about 10 minutes later....
So I finally get seen by a nurse practioner and she takes one look at my rash and tells me it is shingles....ok at least i do not have something totally crazy. They were able to buy me my antiviral medications and I will be fine. I was hopefully trying to get back to Ten's and if the rash is not fully healed by then I am going to walk in totally sober and talk to them about what  is going on. I need to earn money and I know Ten's can do it for me. So for now I am taking my meds and seeing whAT it will do b4 then but we shall see...So hopefully they will hire me back and let me get back into gear!!

My Ultimate Weapon the Sexual Orientation Jedi Mind-fuck and other things you should know

Some of these things I learned the hard way....

1)Don't fuck your co-workers from the club.
     - I hope I do not have to say not to have sex with your clients....
     - If you do end up in a relationship with a dancer/male co-worker, make sure you are only with that person unless you have established an open relationship.
     - Don't hook up with people that have narcotic habits.

2)NEVER give out your locker combination.
-EXEPTION: to a trusted friend when you are way too trashed to dress yourself let alone open your locker.
     - Managers usually have your locker combonations on file in the office, ask a manager to help you.

3)NEVER stack dances, collect after every three at the most. You will get robbed eventually.

4)Be the responsible big sister
     - Be the first to volunteer to take a missed stage=>more $ for you!
     - Act like your clients date, pour his drinks when the waitress is not there.
     - Help train the fresh meat when a manager asks you. It means he thinks you are responsible enough.

5)TEAMWORK!
     - Have a favorite waitress and bouncer that you refer your clients to, they will help you more later.
-Typical tip-out=> 15% after house fee + VIP tipouts. Pay more when you can, it will pay off.

6)Private Clients 101 (not condoned or recommended)
     - Confidentiality (hopefully no explanation necessary.
     - Bring security with you, always have someone there who knows the exact time you will be exiting that door.
     - If you get ANY feeling like you should leave because of your safety.....just LEAVE!
-Again I hope this is something I do not have to remind people but if you are one of those girls that have sex with clients, being "call girls" or "escorts" please please please!!! be on BIRTH CONTROL AND USE CONDOMS. No ifs ands or buts about it girls!

7)Beware of the comfy couches.
-Do not drink and sit on the really comfy couches you will fall asleep and get a one-way ticket to going home.

8)If you really want to get good at trick-poling, take a class, eat well, do not drink too much and take vitamins.

9)Heels break ladies! We put lots of wear and tear on those stilts they call shoes, have extra pairs in your locker.

10)Co-worker relations.
     - Yes you are competing against eachother but its like any other job where you have to work with people. JUST GET ALONG GIRLS!!!

***) Let me expand now on the title...I realize we all lie in the adult entertainment industry. All of us have made up stripper personas to make us more sexy. But I think its hilarious none of these guys suspect a lesbian works in a strip club...muah hahaha I have fooled you all!
